I met Walt through the Army National Guard - Company A in Le Mars where he ran the food service section. I never met a man who was so easy to work with; always friendly, cooperative, and serving others. A good soldier and a wonderful man that has passed on to his eternal reward.

Luly, Joyce, & Syliva: My heart breaks for you. My thoughts are with you all. I've known Walt my whole life and have a few fond memories of him. I loved to play at the Cleaners, and he always let me run around like a fool. Walt and Luly getting married in our house, I acting so cool all dressed up like a little jr. bridesmaid. Lets not forget the Kerns/Conner card club, every Saturday night. Walt was a wonderful kind spoken man, he will be missed. The Angels now have him and he will now be your guarding angel.

My dear Luly, I send my sincere sympathy to you as both of you were dear friends of mine and Amys. We could always find something to laugh about or tell stories. We enjoyed Walt so much as he was really a nice fellow. We always remember your dear mother also as we would all go out to eat and enjoy each other.
