Sincere condolences to Mrs. Kurtz (as I always called her)family and friends. I worked across the road at the Union farm and briefly lived nearby in Kingsley. She and Laverne were 'salt of the earth' Iowans, kind and hard working.

To Gail, Dana and Jeanette May God give you Peace and Comfort as you celebrate the transition of your Mother. Your mother was a gentle and loving woman who left a hallmark of love as she taught, cooked, even showed love to others. The Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I know that she is with her Lord and Savior because God gave her 96 wonderful years. I will never forget the time I was 14 and was selling albums of the group. Mrs Kurtz not only brought an album but encourage me and told me she was proud of me. So sleep on and take your rest . You was loved but God loved you best.
