When we moved to Le Mars 17 years ago we purchased the house next to Lee and Vi. We felt so welcome! They were always so kind to us! Before we had kids, Vi would take care of our dog when we were out of town showering her with affection and walking her way more than we ever did! Now we have 3 kids and they loved Vi like she was their Grandmother! From the time our youngest two could toddle, they would draw her pictures and deliver them to her. She was always so sweet to them and gushed over their drawings! Eventually she started giving them a treat each time they came. On the day Vi passed, my daughter had drawn her a picture and wrote a note reminding her we were praying for her, but she never got to see it. We will all cherish the wonderful memories of our precious neighbor! The kids are so sad that there wont be anyone to give their pictures to that would love and care like Vi did! Thank you, Vi for being so kind! We love you and will miss you dearly! The Verschoors

Vi was always such a classy, giving and kind-hearted lady! We always enjoyed seeing her and sharing conversation and loved her German chocolate cake! Now LeeVi is back together sharing eternal life. Keeping all of the family in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace...
