I came to know Donna best while working with her at the Le Mars Community Theatre as a board member. I have done several shows where she was involved at some point as director or contributor. Her love for the theatre was deep and was sincere. She saw potential in everyone, encouraged all of us and was a cheerleader for things LMCT. Her smiling face, laughter, suggestions, and regular encouragement will be greatly missed. She has impacted this community in so many ways. She will forever be in the audience with us as we continue to entertain as she would expect us to do. It was an honor to call her a friend. God Bless her family with wonderful memories.

Thinking of and praying for you all in this incredibly hard time. In the time I got to spend with Donna she was an incredibly bright light in my daily life. We all miss her dearly and wish we’d gotten more time with her, but are also happy she can finally be at peace. She is shining her beautiful smile down on all of us, of that I’m sure!

The Kaschmitter family had the distinct pleasure of living right next door to the Hentges family! What a fun family to be near. Our kitchen windows faced each other and we would always be making faces, showing off our newest fashions or just waving while doing the supper dishes!

Donna was always my go to person, she listened to all my love life crisis stories, listened to all my hair brained ideas and never objected to letting me just hang out with her.

I used to babysit for Teri, Nick and Jim...they were pretty good kids....not great!!! We had some different experiences during those times when Mom and Dad went our for an evening....

The best memory of all was getting dressed for my wedding. Yes that is what I said, Donna and Jack were kind enough to let all my sisters, my Mom and any number of family members invade her house so I could dress peacefully and privately for my wedding...if you remember the Kaschmitter house there was never any privacy or peacefulness at our house!

Such a special person....you will be missed!!! Hope we can be neighbors again in Heaven.....
