Dunn Family: It was a joy to watch Dorothy as she helped at VBS at Grace. She glowed as she was around the young people and you could tell the kids loved the grandma of Megan ,Brianne and Kyle. Everyone thought they were lucky to have her as a grandma! She was a great farmers wife and seemed to enjoy life!! You are in my prayers as you mourn this special Christian lady!! Story shared: Birthday Cake

One time when we went to Dunns to celebrate someone's birthday, I don't remember whose, Dorothy brought out this beautiful angel food cake to serve. The birthday person was to cut the cake for serving, but when they tried to put the knife through the cake it wouldn't budge. Dean & Dorothy kept encouraging the person to try again, to push harder, but the knife would not go through. After the Dunns could not hold in their laughter any more, Dorothy showed us that actually the cake was not angel food but rather was made of caramel corn! She'd put the caramel corn into the angel food pan and then frosted it so it looked like a regular cake. Another time of much laughter at the Dunns. Plus, the caramel corn was delicious, as was everything that Dorothy made. I've made this cake several times over the years, also without telling the recipient the truth, and had fun watching them try to cut the cake and recalling our fun day with the Dunns years before. That's what good friends do, they stay with you forever.

May God's peace and grace comfort the Dunn family at this time. Dorothy was one of the sweetest people I and my family have ever met, and a terrific cook!! Our family has been truly blest having Dunns in our lives. HUGE hugs to all.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I will sure miss seeing Mrs Dunn around weather it be at a store or at Grace when they are there. She always had a smile for you and how are you today. I enjoyed talking to her. She was never Dorothy she was always Mrs Dunn and always will be tell I see her again. Heaven gained a Beautiful lady today. One I will miss.
